El Hilo que Persiste es un programa de investigación del
Laboratorio de Algoritmos y Análisis de Datos de la UNSAAC sobre comunicación, coordinación y
registro de emergencias en territorios sin conectividad, en el corredor del Ausangate.
El 26 de julio de 2026, a ≈ 4 300 m s. n. m. en Pacchanta, Ocongate, Cusco, Lenin Zuniga Carrillo
trabajó en el equipo interdisciplinario que evaluó en terreno un prototipo de comunicación de
emergencia diseñado para funcionar sin internet ni señal telefónica y para ser operado por la
propia comunidad. Lo que el equipo midió, observó y escuchó cambió el sistema en cinco
frentes y dejó el primer enlace de radio medido del programa.

El Hilo que Persiste is a research programme of the Laboratory
of Algorithms and Data Analysis at UNSAAC, on emergency communication, coordination and
record-keeping in territories without connectivity, in the Ausangate corridor.
On 26 July 2026, at ≈ 4,300 m a.s.l. in Pacchanta, Ocongate, Cusco, Lenin Zuniga Carrillo
worked in the interdisciplinary field team that assessed, on the ground, a prototype
emergency-communication system designed to run with no internet and no mobile signal, and to be
operated by the community itself. What the team measured, observed and heard changed the
system on five fronts and produced the programme's first measured radio link.

- El portal dejó de ser la vía principal de auxilio; el botón físico la reemplazó.

- El instrumento de captura de campo resultó insuficiente y debía rediseñarse.

- La comunidad expresó que el sistema debe ser suyo y estar bajo su control.
- System design
- Location, excluded from the design on principle, was restored as a voluntary declaration by the person asking for help.
- Radio communication
- The programme's first measured link, and the height rule for siting relays.
- Access and interface
- The portal ceased to be the primary path to help; the physical button replaced it.
- Records and data
- The field capture instrument proved insufficient and had to be redesigned.
- Community listening and governance
- The community stated that the system must be theirs and under their control.
